I've been neglecting my writing, but not my crocheting. In the last few weeks I've been busy practicing new Tunisian stitches, making blocks for Warm Up America, searching for new patterns, trying to organize my yarn stash & patterns, and crocheting with friends at Michaels and Borders.
Wednesday I set up files for submission guidelines for various publications and updated the editorial calendars for several.
This past week I searched online, in magazines and books for snowflake patterns that were pretty and easy enough for beginners. Thursday night was our meeting for our potential CGOA Chapter. We talked about working with thread, quality of different brands of thread, I brought in a website address with lots of information of making & blocking snowflakes, as well as blocking patterns.
Today I printed out copies of several of my scarf patterns to hand out in class tomorrow, and organized papers, samples, and my bags so that I'm all ready to teach.
After teaching the Tunisian class tomorrow, it looks like I need to focus on my cleaning and organizing of yarn, patterns, samples, etc. so that the house is somewhat ready for daughter #1 arriving home Monday and daughter #2 will be home in about 2 weeks. They're both going to want the crochet stash out of the way in their bedrooms & WIP off the couch, and then place to set up & decorate the Christmas tree.
I should pack up the fall cookie jars and start setting out some of my Christmas cookie jars, before daughter #2 wants to claim all surfaces for her Santa Claus collection!
